Distinguished Guests, Colleagues and Friends,
I have a great pleasure and honor to invite you to take part in the Fourth International Conference on Applied Geophysics in Krakow/Poland at AGH University of Science and Technology from 28 to 29 June, 2018. The conference venue is located very close to historical center of magic Krakow. The city is full of history and unforgettable impressions – walking through the streets you can be surprised of everything. Wide possibilities allow to plan an interesting, individual stay in Krakow.
The objective of conference is to share knowledge and know-how in research and innovation solutions in a wide aspects of applied geophysics. A particular emphasis has been brought to contributions of young scientists who, at the beginning of their careers, need publications indexed in major databases such as Web of Sciences, Scopus, Google Scholar, and others. It does not mean that we exclude more experienced scientists and engineers from participation in conference and authorship of papers and posters. Accepted, peer-reviewed texts of 8-10 pages A-4 volume will be published in the open access formula at E3S Web of Conferences. The representatives of International Scientific Committee, attending the Applied Geophysics, will also choose the best papers of pointed scientific disciplines. The appropriate diplomas will be handed at Gala Dinner at the end of the conference.
We also decided that Applied Geophysics 2018 should meet the low-cost expectations. The conference fee is about 100 euro for a period of 2 days, excluding accommodation. It covers two social events in a special places in Krakow – a Welcome Party on the first day and Gala Dinner on the second day. The Local Organizing Committee provides you information about a choice of hotels, hostels and students’ hotels a few months before the date of the conference. Conference participants will also obtain information about low-cost bars and restaurants situated close to conference venue.
We hope that Applied Geophysics 2018 be both scientifically valuable and intellectually exciting meeting. We are also convinced that you find in Krakow a memorable possibilities to enjoy some of the architectural, cultural, and culinary pleasures. It will be a nice to welcome you in Krakow.
